Small action. Big impact.

Did you know? Charging devices on soft surfaces like beds or couches can trap heat and increase fire risk 🔥 Give your devices room to breathe — charge on a hard surface and unplug when finished.

Please share this post and help us fill the remaining spots!

🩸 Give blood. Help save lives.

Did you know? The Sheboygan Fire Department carries prehospital blood on our ambulances, allowing our paramedics to begin lifesaving blood transfusions before a patient ever reaches the hospital. We are one of a relatively small number of EMS agencies across the country providing this advanced level of care. Blood donors make programs like this possible.

Versiti is a fusion of donors, scientific curiosity and precision medicine that recognizes the gifts of blood and life are precious. We are passionate about improving the lives of patients and helping our healthcare partners thrive. Versiti is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization.

Week 2 of the Citizens Fire Academy (CFA) was about EMS! This week offers MANY hands-on opportunities for students in addition to an ambulance tour and cardiac arrest demonstration.

Patient care stations included starting IVs, IO placement, intubation, tourniquet and wound packing.

A big thanks to our partners at Aurora Regional EMS for their special training assistance!
