Nothing better than a day putting up campaign signs with Warner. This campaign is about family, community, and protecting the place we call home. Please continue to follow my page as I share my plans and priorities for our community if elected in 2026!

Please do not make negative or disrespectful comments about my opponents.
Both my personal page and my campaign page exist to share information, my plan, and my vision for this community so that you can make an informed choice.

These pages are not a place to degrade or bash anyone — especially the two law enforcement professionals I would proudly stand beside on any serious call tomorrow. We may be opponents in an election, but we were partners in public safety for many years together.

Thank you for keeping this space positive, respectful, and focused on the future of our county.

Along with school security comes church security in our community!
If elected as your Sheriff, another priority of mine is to ensure every place of worship in our county remains a safe & welcoming space for families to gather, worship, and serve.

My approach for school & church security focuses on preparation and prevention.

1. Voluntary Church Safety Program-
I will establish a countywide partnership program where churches of all sizes can:
• Receive security assessments of buildings and parking areas
• Get guidance on emergency exits, lighting, locks, and camera placement.

2. Training for Church Staff & Volunteers
The Sheriff’s Office will offer free safety training:
• How to recognize suspicious behavior
• De-escalation techniques
• Basic emergency medical response (bleeding control, CPR)
• How to safely and legally respond in crisis situations

This ensures churches can prepare without having to hire outside consultants.

3. I will personally make sure we:
• Keep communication open between churches and law enforcement
• Share timely information about threats, scams, or regional trends
• Coordinate resources during special events, holidays, or large gatherings

4. Enhanced Patrol Visibility at
Churches:
• Increase weekend and holiday patrol presence
• Drive-through checks during services and events
• Faster response coordination if an emergency arises

Many churches want to improve safety but don’t know where to start. I took pride in being a Tier One Tactical 4E certified instructor. As an instructor I taught Gallatin County Unit #7 school personnel & students how to prepare and deal with any school emergency. I also took pride in being a state certified law enforcement fi****ms instructor. As Sheriff, I will gladly have the conversation & provide the training if a church wishes to improve their safety.

In this race for Sheriff, it can be confusing for some due to the democrat candidate T. Scott Sauls & I having the same name. Please refer to the photo for full names, political parties and hometown information.

I believe real leadership begins with transparency, accountability, and community involvement. The information provided for all three sheriff candidates is a way to inform the community and limit confusion when making your choice for sheriff.

My approach is rooted in cooperation, not competition. I am committed to modern, common-sense law enforcement, which includes responsible budgeting, as well as ensuring deputies have the needed resources, training, and support to fulfill their duties. This also includes taking issues such as drugs, violent crime, and community trust seriously.

I’m not running to be a politician. I’m running to be a working Sheriff—visible, accountable, and dedicated to serving every corner of our county.

Instead of pointing fingers or engaging in negativity, I’m focused on working with our residents, our schools, our first responders, and our local leaders to build a safer, healthier county. I wish both T. Scott Sauls & James “Nick” Capehart the best of luck throughout this election year.

Thank you!
Scottie R. Sauls

Nothing matters more than the safety of our children! Unfortunately after being in the school myself, speaking to other parents, grandparents & school staff, the security at the school is definitely in need of more work. As Sheriff, I will make school security the top priority by strengthening communication, increasing accountability, and ensuring that every parent feels informed—not left in the dark.

Right now, there is a real gap in transparency between law enforcement, our school district, and families. Parents deserve clear, timely information about safety concerns, incidents, and the measures being taken to protect our kids. I believe in honest, proactive communication, not after-the-fact explanations.

My plan includes:
• Regular safety briefings with parents and school administrators
• Clear protocols so families receive accurate information quickly
• Increased presence and coordination between deputies and school staff
• Modernized training and technology to prevent threats before they happen

School safety isn’t just about responding to emergencies—it’s about building trust. I’m committed to protecting our students like I have in the past. I want to start the open communication every family deserves. I have always had positive success working with the superintendents and the school board and I look forward to working with them again.
