The Shawnee Tomorrow Class of 2026 has adopted a spot with the City of Shawnee, KS Government: Splash Cove! 🌊🚮

Over the next 2 years, they’ll meet once a quarter to clean up Splash Cove/John F Lynch Park in Downtown Shawnee. After their first clean up, they had happy hour at the brand new Current State Coffee.

Today marked the wrap-up session for the Shawnee Tomorrow Class of 2026! Over the past six months our class has had the opportunity to learn more about the people, organizations, businesses, and leaders who make Shawnee such a vibrant and thriving community. From meaningful conversations to behind-the-scenes experiences, each session provided valuable insights and strengthened our connection to the city we call home.

For our final session, we gathered Shawnee Kansas Fire Department Station 71, where we had the unique opportunity to experience a fire truck ride-along. It was a memorable way to wrap up the program and gain an even greater appreciation for the dedicated public servants who serve Shawnee every day.

The Shawnee Chamber kicked off this weekend’s festivities at Shawnee Town 1929 to recognize the Old Shawnee Days sponsors, award the Old Shawnee Days scholarship winners, and announce Joni Amos Pflumm as this year’s Old Shawnee Days Parade Grand Marshall.
