This , we remember and honor those who have served and sacrificed. Those who have left and never returned. The mothers and fathers who mourn. The children who carry stories instead of hugs. The folded flags and the empty chairs.

We honor them not just in silence, but in how we live, serve, and show up for every person in every community.

Please join us in welcoming Sarita Hayes as the incoming Executive Director of United Way of Eastern Frontier Country!

Sarita has been a proud member of the Shawnee community for more than 20 years and brings with her a deep love for the people and future of our area. A graduate of Shawnee High School and Oklahoma Baptist University, she is now raising her three sons in the same community that helped shape her values and passion for service.

Sarita is dedicated to building strong connections and investing in initiatives that strengthen our community for generations to come. Her heart for service, commitment to family, and passion for making a difference make her an exciting addition to the United Way family.

We are thrilled to welcome Sarita into this role and look forward to the impact she will make throughout our community!

Today is the BIG day, Shawnee! 📬🍎

It’s the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, our largest food drive of the year! Every single donation stays right here in our community to feed families in need.

We want to give a massive THANK YOU to our dedicated Letter Carriers who are working extra hard today to help their neighbors. They are truly making a difference!

How you can participate right now:
1️⃣ Leave it at home: Place a bag of non-perishable food by your mailbox. Your carrier will handle the rest!
2️⃣ Drop it off: You can also bring donations directly to the Community Market at 120 S Center St, Shawnee, OK 74801.

Let’s come together to fill the shelves and help our neighbors. Every can counts! 🥫✨
