Hot and humid conditions are expected across the area Sunday afternoon and evening, with temperatures climbing into the low to mid-90s across our county. While these temperatures are not unusual for late May, the combination of heat and humidity can increase the risk of heat-related illnesses for anyone spending extended time outdoors.
âī¸ Heat Safety Tips:
đ§ Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
đī¸ Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
đ Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.
â° Limit strenuous outdoor activities to the early morning or evening when possible.
If you have outdoor plans, be sure to stay hydrated, check on vulnerable family members and neighbors, and keep an eye on your pets.
