Please join the Sharon Fire Department as we gather to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, including the 343 firefighters, 60 law enforcement officers, 8 EMTs and paramedics, and countless others who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The observance will begin with a reading of the names at 8:45 a.m., followed by the official memorial ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at the Sharon Fire Department's 9/11 Memorial.

As we mark this solemn milestone, we invite our community to join us in remembering those we lost, honoring the courage of the first responders who answered the call, and reaffirming our promise that we will never forget.

🎤 Bruno Mars concerts this weekend!

ℹ️ Pop superstar Bruno Mars brings his The Romantic Tour to Gillette for 2 shows this weekend — Sat. 9/5 & Sun. 9/6. Both shows start at 7pm, with lots opening at 3pm and gates at 5pm. Rideshares will be directed to Lot 15A. The MBTA will be running trains to the stadium from Boston and Providence both nights.

🚧 : South Walpole traffic restrictions take effect at 5pm both evenings. ‼️Concerts often feature traffic unfamiliar with the area, so be sure to leave yourself some extra time if headed to the show.

🎵 To prevent being “Locked out of Heaven”, take Route 1, as it is your quickest and most efficient way to Gillette. Thank you! 🏟️

Community Resource Dog Cleo officially graduated from the Community Resource Dog Program with Professional Canine Services.

Now she is ready for her next big assignment, the school year!

Cleo & SRO Valmond are excited to be back visiting all the Sharon Public Schools, bringing smiles, comfort, and plenty of tail wags!

SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY!

Sharon Police will be out next week following bus routes and conducting traffic enforcement around all school.

Please be aware and pay extra attention of increased traffic around schools, pedestrian traffic, children on bikes & scooters, children in crosswalks, crossing guards, school buses stopping.

🍌 Banana Ball at Gillette this Friday & Saturday Night! 🥎

The Savannah Bananas arrive at Gillette this weekend with 2 games — Friday (8/28) & Saturday (8/29) at 6:30pm. Lots open at 1:00 pm both days with gates following at 4:30 pm. Rideshares will be directed to Lot 15A. The MBTA will be running a train from Boston on Friday and Boston and Providence on Saturday.

Foxborough’s traffic management plan on secondary roads will be in effect from 2 pm until 11 pm.

We anticipate early-arriving crowds along with most attendees being unfamiliar with the area, so be sure to leave yourself some extra travel time. Throw in the Friday evening commute, and the potential exists for traffic backups.

If headed to the games, please utilize Route 1 to Gillette. Thank you! 🍌🥎

South Walpole Street will be closed again at the RT 95 underpass as part of MassDOT bridge project on Sunday, August 30th at 8:00pm until Monday, August 31st at 5:00am. Detours will be in place, seek alternate route and expect delays.
