The hub of the community is the Sharon Springs Central School District (SSCSD) – home of the Spartans. A uniquely small district, it accommodates just under 300 students (pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade) in a single building. The mission of the district is to “educate all students to become healthy, hard-working, honest and respectable citizens, who will value lifelong learning and contribu

te to a global society.”

This mission is carried out by a nurturing, dedicated, and student-first administration and staff, who seek to provide students with positive experiences in the culture that defines SSCSD. We look to leverage this tool increase communication and collaboration with our extensive SSCS "Family." BACCALAUREATE CEREMONY HELD FOR CLASS OF 2026

A Baccalaureate program was held Tuesday night for the SSCS Class of 2026 at the Sharon Springs Village Pavilion. A Baccalaureate is a spiritual service held a few days before formal graduation - this year on June 20. It gives seniors and their families a quiet space to reflect, listen to inspirational speakers, and celebrate their SSCS transition. Several members of the Spartan class and their families attended the ceremony led by Class Advisors Dan Cornwell and Anne Allen. Pastor Hannah Pizza (mother of class member Griffin Pizza) gave an inspiring message and blessing for the class. Class President/Salutatorian Ava Jump and Class Treasurer Hailey Cashman presented a “class look-back” while class members Leighton Dunston, Gavin Smith and Lily Perrotti did readings and Gia Robinson read a poem she wrote. Best of luck to the Class of 2026!
