We would like to congratulate Bowen Diamond on his graduation from HACC Fire academy today. Bowen joined Sharon Hill in 2021 and currently serves as Lieutenant and Trustee. We wish you well as you start your career with the Upper Darby Fire Department.

*Delayed* 6/11/26 *Working fire*

Engine 9 arrived FDE to this house fire in the unit block of N. Wells Ave in Glenolden. Crews found fire in a pipe chase on the first floor with extension to the other floors. 2 hand lines were placed in service, crews were on scene for just over 2 hours.

We would like to congratulate 3 of our members for their graduation from high school.

Anthony D’Alesio graduated from Commonwealth Charter Academy and plans to pursue a career in emergency services. Anthony is already certified in Firefighter 1 Pro Board.

Arthur (AJ) Daniel graduated from Haverford High School and plans to attend the University of Pittsburg in the fall. AJ is already certified in Firefigher 1 Pro Board and National Registry EMT.

Christian (CJ) Givens graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School and plans to pursue a career in emergency services. CJ is already certified in Firefighter 1 Pro Board and National Registry EMT.

5/30/26 *Cooking Fire*
Engine 9 arrived first due engine to the 1000 block of Pine Street in Darby Borough. Crews found smoke showing from the residence and deployed a handline. Police on scene advised a pan on fire, removed from the residence with no extension. Crews ventilated the residence and were released by 4 command.

A huge Thank You to Copes Quality Towing for the pallet of water donation! Members were busy battling a 2 alarm fire in Collingdale when it was delivered and returned to find it neatly stacked along the building. Thank you!

5/28/26 9:18am *Working Fire* Updated
Engine 9 was dispatched to a report of wires smoking on the rear of a residence on Marshall Ave in Collingdale. Engine 9 arrived first due engine, dropping a split lay from MacDade Blvd. The address was updated and crews found smoke showing from the rear. Engine 9 deployed a handline and began interior attack with other arriving crews. The fire would eventually reach 2 alarms, crews were in service for approximately 3 hours. Engine 9 driver (Baker) held the Collingdale command.

Engine 9 is currently operating as first due engine on a house fire in Collingdale. The fire is located on the 200 Block of Marshall Ave. Please avoid the area of MacDade Blvd and Marshall Rd.
