Saturday, June 13th your Indian Mills Volunteer Fire Company members will be conducting a fundraiser at the intersection of Oakshade and Indian Mills Road. Our "coin drop" event is an important part of our funding strategy, and we sincerely thank the community in advance for your ongoing support. Please be mindful and safe with our volunteers operating at the intersection of Wawa, Di Croce Law Firm and La Campagnola. It's always a long day for our folks but we appreciate you all in helping us reach our fundraising goals.

Thank you NJ Electric Vehicle Association for hosting an Electric Vehicle First Responder Awareness Workshop last night at our station's drill night. After a presentation, our members were able to interact with owners that volunteered to bring various model EVs for hands on demos.

Despite the rain, the Shamong Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony 2026 was held yesterday morning at the memorial in front of the Indian Mills School. We'd like to thank all the veterans, supporters, residents, partners and friends that came out to pay respect and remember those that have given all in defense of our great Nation.

Tonight is the P.J. Whelihan's Pub + Restaurant Dine and Donate Fundraiser for your volunteer fire company. Every donation helps, and here is a way to have a meal with friends or family and a portion is given back to Indian Mills Volunteer Fire Co. serving Shamong Township by the restaurant. The only participation requirements:
- You have dine in tonight at the Medford Lakes location between 5pm and 8pm.
- You must mention Dine and Donate or Indian Mills Fire Company to your server in order for it to count.

Last night at our monthly Company meeting and dinner Station 281 honored Tom Ge**er as he retires from New Jersey Forest Fire Service as Section Warden B1. A friend of the Fire Company, Tom has served and protected our community for over 40 years. Please join us in thanking him for a lifetime of service.

Tonight your Indian Mills Fire volunteers trained on the use of Narcan. Special thanks to our guest and trainer Phyllis Worrell with Burlington County Health Department. Our apparatus are equipped with Narcan through a grant with the state of NJ.

Yesterday Engine 2812, Tender 2816, and Fire Police 2838 responded to Goshen Pond just off Atsion Road with 1st Assistant Chief 2801 for a report of a small brush fire near the campground. Alongside New Jersey Forest Fire Service units B24 and B1 the fire was quickly contained and extinguished. Our thanks to Tabernacle Fire Department for responding to the mutual aid call.
