It’s June 1st and that means we are just 27 days away from our 2nd annual SFB Block Party! The gears are now moving fast and we’re tying up loose ends. Tommorow we will begin advertising and giving a shout out to all of our awesome Vendors & Sponsors that we have. We are almost just one month away from the 2026 Shamokin Fire Bureau block party!!! It’s almost that time to start promoting our sponsors for this year, unfortunately though we don’t even have a months worth of sponsors this year 😔. We must get our sponsor banner and tshirt order in this upcoming week so it’s last call for generous sponsors. We will be submitting our list this upcoming Friday. We know that times are tough, they’re tough for us too. But the more sponsors we have the more your local volunteer fire bureau profits from this once a year event! This year we’re adding a fire truck parade and a 3rd great musician! Get ready to have a blast support your local FD on Saturday, June 27th! Huge shout out to Kleckners! It’s awesome coming back to the station after battling a 3 alarm fire in the city to a whole bunch of cases of delicious energy drinks. Thank you for hydrating our guys & gals, be sure to support this business! We also want to thank all of our city personnel and our mutual aid brothers and sisters for their assistance with today’s fire.

This evening stations 30 (Rescue), 10 (friendship), 160 (Forest hills), and 300 (Trevorton) all joined together for a training session. E312 operated 3 attack lines as well as supplying T165 which operated 2 hand lines while members from E31 and E11 threw ground ladders. 29 members were in attendance between the 4 companies that operate together in each other’s municipalities when needed. Our training evenings continue to grow and relationships strengthen for the betterment of the services we provide.

This evening Stations 30 & 10 once again got together to train and develop, this week Captain 10 & Twp Lt 161 put potential drivers thru a driving course to simulate with cones certain driving tasks. Meanwhile our stations Lt Lauro & FF Rovinsky went over ground ladders with our juniors and non-driver personnel. Every member ran thru a two man 28ft & 18ft ladder raise along with a one man raise. 23 members between both companies attended.

This evening L32 & E31 got together with E11 & T165 to do some tanker ops with a dump tank and drafting to supply our Aerial master stream. E31 was fill engine, E11 supplied L32. Everyone got some rural water movement training this evening. 20 members were in attendance between the 3 stations.
