Donations can be made to Amy @ the police station Mon-Fri 8am-3pm until the pool opens. After June 6th, donations can be made during pool hours!

Items to donate include -

Swimwear
Towels
Suntan lotion
Swim goggles
Deodorant
Travel size shampoo/conditioner

SHAMOKIN — The City of Shamokin will set aside a room at the Strausser-Shroyer Memorial Pool for people to donate children’s swimwear in memory of a teenage lifeguard.

Free swim lessons this year! More details to come on how to sign up once the pool is open for the season!

SHAMOKIN — The Shroyer-Strausser Memorial Pool received a $5,000 grant to provide free swimming lessons this summer.

Opening Day is scheduled for June 6th @ 12:00pm!

Details to come soon about some new things for this swim season!

Please keep in mind - no private parties are able to be scheduled until the pool is offically open for the season.

It's that time of year again!!!

We are now hiring for the 2026 Swim Season!

Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and have valid certification.

Concession workers must be at least 14 years old.

See Amy at the Shamokin Police Station for applications Mon-Fri 8am-3pm.

We are excited for another fun swim season at Rock St Pool!!

The Shamokin Pool will be closed this Saturday, August 16th, due to lifeguard staffing shortages related to high school and college sports commitments.

We will reopen for public swimming on Sunday, August 17th, from 12-6 PM.
Thank you for your understanding.
