The City of Shafter is proud to welcome Fire & Flood Emergency Services as they establish their U.S. Headquarters in Shafter.

Founded in 2016, the company develops innovative technology designed to address today's challenges while preparing for tomorrow's. Their solutions help protect communities from wildfires, floods, and droughts while strengthening the resilience of our communities, ecosystems, and economy.

From their beginnings in Canada to expansion into Australia, and now the establishment of their U.S. headquarters right here in Shafter, Fire & Flood's growth highlights our City's growing role as a hub for innovation, emergency preparedness, and business investment.

We look forward to supporting their continued success and to welcoming their team to the Shafter community.

A special thank you to Matthew Watson for the tour and for sharing Fire & Flood's vision for the future. We appreciate the warm welcome and look forward to a strong partnership. Stay tuned for details on a Ribbon Cutting Celebration coming this fall!

Exchange your old gas mower for a FREE STIHL electric mower!

Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM, at the City of Shafter Public Works Yard, 720 Commerce Way, Shafter, CA 93263

- Must reside within the Shafter AB 617 Community Boundary
- Check your address: call us, scan QR code, or visit: https://community.valleyair.org/checkshafter
- Your address must fall within the pink shaded area on the map.
- Supplies are limited, limit one mower per address
- Attend the June 27th event, bring your old gas mower (drained of all fluids) to be exchanged, and take home a new STIHL brand mower for free!

Join the Shafter Lions Club as they host this year's celebration of America’s 250th Year of Independence with a spectacular fireworks show!

NEW THIS YEAR:
❤ Two great viewing locations for spectators
🚫 No vendors will be on site

This is a picnic-style event, so bring your Family and Friends, blankets and chairs, food and drinks, no alcohol allowed.

Gates open at 7:00 PM
Fireworks begin at dark
