The Shade Gap Area Fire Company is a 100% VOLUNTEER organization that proudly serves Shade Gap Borough, Dublin Township, and Tell Township in the Southern end of Huntingdon County Pennsylvania. Our first due area consists of approximately 88.9 square miles, that is mostly rural with a majority of the area being farmlands. ries medical equipment, extrication tools and fire surpression equipmemt. Engine Rescue 14- A 1985 Ford Pierce engine that is currently being used for parades and a backup fire engine. Engine Tanker 14- A 1995 Pierce Dash engine that is our primary fire suppression and mutual aid unit. It carries 1,500 Gal of water with a 1,250 gpm pump. Rescue 14- A 1992 Pierce Lance which carries a majority of our rescue tools, medical equipment, and other misc. supplies. It holds 500 gal of water and a 1,500 gpm pump. Tanker 14- A 2018 Pierce Freightliner commercial chassis holding 2,000 gallons of water, 1,500 gpm pump and is mainly used to haul extra water. It also holds various hand tools and drafting devices. Brush 14- 2012 Ford F-350 that is used for brush and mountain fires, holding 350 gal of water. UTV 14- A Kubota SxS with a bed mounted skid unit used for land rescue and brush fire aid. UTV 14 is kept in our multi-use trailer. The enclosed trailer can also be used as a command post, rehab center and a limited hazmat response unit. In addition to our first due area, we also provide mutual aid to other areas of Huntingdon County as well as portions of Franklin, Fulton, and Juniata Counties.
