Another construction update from Lions Park!

The pavilion continues to move along nicely with the roof now fully shingled and the interior rooms painted. It’s great to see more finishing touches starting to come together.

The new pavilion project continues to move forward with noticeable progress every week. From the beautiful timber accents to the spacious covered area, this new addition is going to be a fantastic upgrade for the park and community. Stay tuned as we move closer to completion! 🦁

The Seymour Lions were hard at work this week helping spruce up Lions Park for the community to enjoy! Members spread fresh bark around the playground equipment, laid sod near the new pavilion, and worked throughout the park to help keep one of Seymour’s favorite gathering spots looking its best. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to make Lions Park even more welcoming for families, kids, and visitors this summer! 🦁🌳

Last night, during the Seymour High School Academic Awards Banquet, the Seymour Lions Club proudly presented our annual Community Service Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes a student who goes above and beyond to make a positive difference both at school and in the community.

We were fortunate to have many outstanding and highly qualified candidates this year, making the selection process extremely difficult, but one individual stood out for their commitment to service, leadership, and community involvement.

Please join us in congratulating our 2026 scholarship recipient, Riley Leisgang! We are proud to recognize Riley for the positive example she sets through her dedication, involvement, and willingness to serve others.

We would also like to congratulate the entire Seymour High School Class of 2026 and wish all graduates continued success in the future.

🚧 Progress is taking shape at Lions Park! 🦁

The new pavilion is moving along nicely, with the block walls now going up and the structure really beginning to take form. This addition will create a great new gathering space for community events, celebrations, park visitors, and future memories for years to come.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in helping bring this project to life, from the crews on-site to the supporters and community members who continue to invest in Lions Park. We’re excited to watch the progress continue in the weeks ahead!

The Seymour Lions Club was proud to host its 62nd Annual Athletics Award Banquet last night, celebrating an outstanding group of student-athletes and recognizing the dedication, leadership, and accomplishments of Seymour students both in the classroom and in competition.

Congratulations to Girls 2025-2026 Student-Athlete of the Year, Maya VandeKolk, and Boys 2025-2026 Student-Athlete of the Year, Xavier Salzman, on earning this tremendous honor. Maya and Xavier each receive a $1,500 scholarship from the Seymour Lions.

Congratulations as well to all of this year's nominees and to every athlete recognized in their respective sports. The future is incredibly bright for this talented group, and Seymour has a lot to be proud of. 👏🏆
