We’re having more kids activities from 11 am to 12:00 noon this Saturday. Please bring kids! We do this the 3 rd Saturday of each month. SMC is open from 11 am to 2 pm this Saturday (3/16)

Been thinking about starting a new career as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)? Ivy Tech will be holding a CNA Prep class here at JCLC during the summer session. This course will be 10 weeks in length and include class hours and clinical hours. Registration for summer classes begins soon so get the enrollment process started now. Must want to achieve a certificate in at least two of the programs in the Microsoft office suite. The first program can be Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, or Outlook. The second one must be Excel. You can get a Certification in all five programs.

Seymour is applying for federal funds to provide grants to qualified homeowners for home improvement and rehabilitation projects.

These grants are geared toward elderly, disabled, female head of household and low-income residents.

In order to have a successful application, the city must show a need for such a program. That's where you come in.

Applications are available at Seymour City Hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.
