The Seymour Police Department provides 24 hours Police service to the City of Seymour

We're currently investigating vehicles that were entered overnight between Wednesday, May 27 into the morning of Thursday May 28. We're asking the communities assistance in reviewing their home security videos to see if they captured any suspicious activity. The area of County Road X and Shady Road, County Rd G/French Rd and Main St (Highway 55) north of Bronson is closed for an unknown amount of time. Please plan accordingly to plan an alternate route.

Save the date for our 7th Annual Seymour Classic Golf Outing benefiting the Seymour Police K9 Unit. Registration forms will be available soon. Last year we were at full capacity which we owe to all of our supporters. This event will be limited to the first 30 paid teams.

Good Afternoon. I want to remind our citizens that our night time parking ordinance is quickly approaching. Sec. 70-301 - Parking Prohibited During Certain Periods states "from November 2 through March 31 no person shall park a vehicle for longer than 30 minutes between 2:00 am and 6:00 am on any day on any street in the city unless prior approval is received from the police department."

**PRESS RELEASE**

Seymour Man Sentenced for Child Po*******hy Charges

On February 8, 2024 the Seymour Police Department was contacted in reference to concerning files located on a cell phone. The Seymour Police Department investigated the complaint and quickly identified the suspect as 54 year old Seymour resident John Breden. On February 9, 2024 with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol, Mr. Breden was located and taken into custody without incident. Mr. Breden was officially charged by the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office on February 12, 2024 for multiple counts of Possession of Child Po*******hy and Capture an Intimate Representation. On August 4, 2025 Mr. Breden accepted a plea deal with the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office involving his criminal charges.

On October 22, 2025 Mr. Breden was sentenced in Outagamie County Circuit Court to 15 years of confinement with 10 years supervision upon his release and life time registry with the S*x Offender registry.
