The Medical Corp volunteers are needed!!
Vaccinating Hoosiers against COVID-19 quickly and efficiently will be a full-scale public health initiative at the state and local level. To prepare Indiana for COVID-19 vaccine distribution and optimize resources, the Indiana Department of Health has partnered with the Bowen Center to create and identify a pool of licensed healthcare workers, students, and other Hoosiers who are willing to volunteer
with vaccine distribution.
The Jackson County Health Department is anticipating receipt of vaccines in early January and is currently developing the plans for distribution. But, this is a monumental task and will require some assistance from the community. Volunteers of all types will be required; skilled medical, data and record completion, inventory control; IT; traffic control; and interpreters. The schedule for vaccination clinics and locations have yet to be determined, so, if you have a flexible schedule and a desire to assist our population receive this vaccine, please fill out the volunteer form in its entirety and click submit at the bottom of the page.
