Funding Opportunity for Non-Foodshare Connecticut Food Pantries

United Way of Connecticut is partnering with the CT Department of Social Services to provide funding to food pantries not affiliated with the Connecticut Foodshare Network.

Eligible organizations can apply for funding to help provide free food to their communities.

Applications are now open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis through November 30, 2026

Key eligibility requirements include:
• Operating a food pantry serving the general public in Connecticut for at least 12 months
• Not part of the CT Foodshare Agency Network
• 501c3 in good standing or municipality-run
• Ability to document annual food purchase costs
• Listed in 211 CT (or sign-up within 30 days of award)

Our Bags Are Packed!

Visitors to the Baby Fair at the Childbirth Center at Griffin Hospital this Saturday will receive bags loaded with free maternity and baby care items (while supplies last)!

We hope to see you and your family on May 30 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Griffin Hospital, 130 Division St., Derby, for our Annual Baby Fair.

Expectant parents, new parents and their families can get a good feel for the area’s maternity and childcare resources as this free event features many exhibitors, special offers and discounts, raffles, door prizes, tours of the Childbirth Center and information about the Center’s classes and support groups for before and after childbirth.
