Seymour, Indiana, will celebrate its 175th anniversary in 2027, and we’re planning a year full of ways to celebrate our community! 💚💛

As part of the celebration, the City of Seymour plans to feature ONE event, festival or special happening EACH WEEK throughout 2027 — and we need your help!

📣 Have an event you think should be part of Seymour’s 175th celebration? Submit it for consideration!

A three-person team will evaluate each submission and select events to be included as part of the official Seymour 175th Anniversary celebration.

✨ Events selected will:
• Be recognized as an official Seymour 175th event
• Be marketed and promoted by the City of Seymour
• Receive the official Seymour 175th Anniversary logo for promotional materials
• Become part of the City’s advertised lineup of 175th anniversary events

Whether it’s a festival, community gathering, concert, historical program, celebration or something completely unique, we want to hear your ideas!

🚨 COMMUNITY NOTICE – MULTI-AGENCY TRAINING EXERCISE 🚨
On Wednesday, September 16, at 7:00 PM, the Seymour Fire Department, along with other local emergency response agencies, will be conducting a multi-agency training exercise at Seymour Middle School.
During this time, community members may notice an increased presence of fire trucks, emergency vehicles, and first responders in and around the school. Please be assured that this is a scheduled training exercise and NOT an actual emergency.
Training exercises like this are extremely important. They allow our local emergency agencies to work together, practice our response procedures, and better prepare for the challenges we could face during a real emergency.
We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of our community while we conduct this important training.
