Today, BBR South High School, held a "Garden Dedication" in memory of Mason Ge**er, a student who passed away. Mason's family, GCSSSD Administration, and BBR SH staff and students listened as wonderful stories were shared. There was laughter and there were tears, but the idea that Mason's memory will live on forever here at BBR, was the catalyst that pulled everyone together!

A special thank you to Heather Delia and her family for donating the bench and painting the sides purple. Purple was Mason's favorite color! Thank you to Kevin Howarth for building the garden and laying the pavers.

On a special note: To Judith Ge**er, Michael Szewczak, John Davis, Eileen Martell, Al Ge**er and Debbie Ge**er-Test, all mason's family, please know that Mason will always live on in our hearts!

BBR science teachers, Alix Gillespie (North) and Erica Holzinger (South), pooled their classes and taught their students how to dissect a frog. They dressed up in protective gear, donned their instruments and went to work following a specific set of instructions. The students worked in teams and shared all of the responsibilities. BDC staff and students would like to thank the BDC PTO for providing a wonderful, refreshing, cool, summer treat this week! Who doesn't love an ice cream truck! They bring out the kid in all of us! Raising the bar is an Ice Cream business with a purpose! The create on-the-job training opportunities for adults with disabilities. This visit was a win-win for all!

BBE held their school-wide Block Party today outside near the playground and basketball courts. The special teachers rocked it out of the park with amazing activities and of course, the menu! The staff brought salads, fruit, cheese, chips and cookies! End of the Year activities are so much fun! Thank you to all the BBE staff for making today so memorable!

BDC teacher Meghan Mellace, held an "End of the Year Award" ceremony today in the Family Center at the Development Center. It was a wonderful celebration of all the student's hard work, growth, and accomplishments throughout this school year! Families and loved ones joined in as each child proudly received a special award recognizing their unique strengths and successes.

Guests enjoyed light refreshments while spending time together celebrating this amazing class. Mrs. Meghan shared a special story with the students, who happily colored as they listened. The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and so many proud moments.

They ended their celebration with a fun dance party, where everyone got to move, groove, and enjoy one last special memory together. The staff are so proud of each and every student and all they have accomplished. What a fantastic way to celebrate an incredible school year!

BBE held their "End of The Year" field day today, outside behind the Miracle Field. There were several stations, all run by staff. The students cycled through the parachute, water sprinkler💦, Duck, Duck, Goose game with a sponge 😂, co****le, a balance track and so much more! They listened to music, danced and laughed with their friends! Even the staff has a great time! The end of the school year is so much fun!

BBR Middle School teacher, Josh Cassidy, brought in his "outdoor movie set up" to share with the middle school classes today. Why? Well, it was MOVIE DAY! The students used their "Bankbridge" bucks to buy their movie ticket, popcorn and juice and fidget toys. They sat on gym mats, yoga mats, beanbags, the bleachers and of course, folding chairs. As the movie played, the students laughed and cheered and cried out, all in support of the movie characters! Thank you, Mr. Cassidy!! They really liked your theater!
