Today is the day!

We hope to see everyone tonight at 4:30 at the Rae Building!

Join us Monday, Sept. 28 at the K.M. Rae Building (125 Third Avenue) for our 5th town hall, where two speakers will share the financial findings on a sale or an electric cooperative and what each option would mean for the Seward area. Doors open at 4:30 PM, and the event starts at 5:00. There will be refreshments and door prizes, and all are welcome!

❄️🏠 SEWARD RESIDENTS: HEAT PUMP FUNDING IS AVAILABLE! 🏠🔥

The Seward Electric Department wants our community to know about a great opportunity available through the Accelerating Clean Energy Savings (ACES) Heat Pump Program.

Yes — Seward is included in the ACES program area!

Eligible households may qualify for $4,000, $6,000, or up to $8,500 toward the installation of a qualifying cold-climate heat pump. Even better, there is no income cap to qualify for the $4,000 incentive.

The program is designed for primary residences currently heated with fuels such as:

• Heating oil or diesel
• Propane
• Natural gas
• Wood

Heat pumps can provide highly efficient heating while also giving homeowners the benefit of air conditioning during warmer summer days.

⚡ Thinking about installing a heat pump? Apply BEFORE starting your project.

ACES requires applicants to complete the application, income verification, home energy assessment, and receive program approval before purchasing equipment or beginning installation. Projects that have already started are not eligible for retroactive ACES funding.

The Seward Electric Department is sharing this information because we want our customers to be aware of programs that can help lower the upfront cost of installing efficient electric heating technology in our community.
