Dimensional Book Workshop
with BEAUVAIS LYONS
SESSION III: JUNE 14-20

Learn all about the design and creation of pop-up and carousel books with print and bookmaker Beauvais Lyons.

This course is suitable for both beginners as well as more experienced bookmakers. The Dimensional Book Workshop will involve the design and creation of pop-up and carousel books. Through a series of demonstrations, example books, and lectures, students will learn how to incorporate principles of paper engineering, and the use of parallel and converging folds to make books that can be activated by the viewer to move, twist and even surprise. The completed books can incorporate drawing, water media and/or collage, with the subjects based on the interests of each student. Come prepared to work, play, and have fun!
