Just a quick reminder about the Literary Club meeting Tuesday March 10th at the library in Seven Points. Doors open at 9:30 am with amazing refreshments. The meeting begins at 10:00 am.

This months program will be the very talented Shellie Oโ€™Neal, Ph.D. portraying the remarkable, multi talented F***y Crosby. F***y Crosby has written more than 8000 hymms and gospels and by the end of the 19th century, she was a household name. Canโ€™t wait to learn all about this most amazing woman! Hope you can join us at The The Cedar Creek Literary Club on Tuesday, Dec. 9th at the The Library at Cedar Creek Lake. The Panther Edition from Mabank HS will present their Christmas program. 9:30 am for light refreshments and 10:00 am for our program. They perform primarily pop music, Broadway show tunes, and of course Christmas favorites.

Please join us Tuesday, May 13, for an interesting and some fun stories from, Billie Anderer, a flight attentant who worked for forty two years for a major airline. She had the opportunity to see the world and experience many cultures. How does it feel to live out of a suitcase, less than ideal hotels, and the food....well, that is only part of it. Billie will tell us about the UPS and downs of a high-flying career.
We meet at The Library at Cedar Creek Lake at 9:30 for refreshments and 10:00 am for our program. Hope you can join us!

We are going to have a fantastic program this month. Our favorites Lisa Fairchild and Kim Titus will protray the characters from the best selling book, A Gentleman from Moscow. The setting is the year 1922, and Count Alexander Rostov is sentenced to house arrest in the grand Metropol Hotel, across from the Kremlin. He is ordered to stay forever in the servants quarters, never to leave the hotel. You won't want to miss this extraordinary story by two acclaimed professional actors.
The program begins at 10:00 am with refreshments starting at 9:30 am. We meet at The Library at Cedar Creek Lake in Seven Points. All are welcome. Hope to see you there!

Please join us February 11th, at 9:30 for refreshments and 10:00 am for our program. The program this month is Danielle Patterson, of
CPR MOMS, who will demonstrate operating and using an AED (automatic electronic defibrillator) a device that can diagnosed life-threatening cardiac events.
Even though instructions are included on every defibrillator, have you ever looked at a machine to examine it? We never know when the time may come and we may need it for family, friends, etc when minutes count.
Danielle will also demonstrate basic life support CPR which we should all know how to perform.
The meeting will be at the Library at Cedar Creek Lake in Seven Points. Please join us!

Ho, ho, ho, join us for some Christmas fun! Dec. 10th at The Library at Cedar Creek Lake in Tool. Refreshments start at 9:30 am and program is at 10:00 am. Jackie Payne will be entertaining us with Christmas songs and some stories behind our favorite Christmas songs. All are welcome to relax, meet new friends, and have a great time. Our program this month will be the story of Emma Edmonds and her life as a Union soldier, spy, and nurse. Lynette Graham of the Navarro College Pearce Museum will tell us Emma's story. Two additional gentlemen will portray Generals Lee and Grant. Hope you can join us.

Our Literary Club season is beginning our new season on Sept. 10 at 9:30 am at the Library at Cedar Creek Lake. Our program is Jill Beam, daughter of Rose Mary Rumbley, speaking on 150 Great American Events. She will include the music of Tim McGraw and John Meachum. Join us for a fun time with refreshments and meet some new friends. All are welcome.๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿฅน

Lake Area Fire and Police Departments along with EMS To Hold a Procession of Lights on September 8, 2024.
To Honor the memory of the victims and first responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, Cedar Creek Lake Fire and Police Departments, along with EMS, will be holding a procession of lights on Patriots Day, Sunday, September 8 , beginning at 1:00 pm from Gun Barrel City.
The procession of lights will begin on West Main Street in front of UT Health East Cedar Creek. From there, the procession will go to Seven Points, Tool, Trinidad, Malakoff, Caney City and Payne Springs arriving back in Gun Barrel City at approximately 2:30pm.
The Route will be West Main Street, Hwy 334 to Hwy 274 to Hwy 31 to Hwy 198.
Citizens are welcome and encouraged to line the procession route. Please share this post with your family and friends.
