Law Director Richard A. Pignatiello was admitted to the Ohio Bar in November of 1982 after receiving his juris doctorate degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Mr. Pignatiello also completed his Masters in Tax Law from the University of Miami, Miami, Florida, and
his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
His professional memberships and affiliations include the Ohio State Bar Association, Cuyahoga County Bar Association, Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, American Bar Association and the Who's Who in American Law.
Mr. Pignatiello began his Private Law Practice in 1982 and has served as General Counsel for L & M Properties and General Counsel for Tollis Realty. He was also Research and Writing Assistant for Judge Alvin Krenzler, Chief Justice Eighth District of the Court of Appeals. Pignatiello also served as Law Clerk in the firm Climaco, Climaco, Garofoli & Leftkowicz.
No stranger to Municipal Government, before being elected Law Director of the City of Seven Hills, Mr. Pignatiello was elected Councilman of Ward 3 in Seven Hills for three Terms and served as Seven Hills Council President for Two Terms. Pignatiello has been the City of Seven Hills' Law Director since his election in 1995 with oversight of the Law Department's civil and criminal divisions.
Mr. Pignatiello is licensed to practice in the State of Ohio and before the U.S. District Court (Northern District of Ohio), the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
