🇺🇸 Honor the 250th Anniversary of the formation of the United States of America by volunteering your time safely cleaning historical gravestones in a local cemetery. This community service opportunity is open to those in Grades 6 - 12.

Representatives from Long Island Graveyards and Cemeteries volunteer group will teach you how to properly clean historical stones using safe chemicals and materials, and explain the historical significance of the graveyard and its occupants.

⚾ Play ball! "The History of Baseball Cards" by local resident George Altemose is this month's lobby display.

Mr. Altemose has been collecting baseball cards since he was 9 years old in 1952 with his first one being P*e Wee Reese, shortstop for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Emma Clark board members & staff met with Thalia Olaya, Suffolk County Regional Representative for Governor Hochul’s office, and gave her a tour of our building. Along with Kerri Souto from Suffolk Cooperative Library System, we shared the many ways our library brings resources and services to our patrons and strengthens our community.

We were so pleased to have this opportunity to connect!
