The Water Department will be flushing hydrants this fall. This is done to maintain a high quality of water throughout our system. During these times, you may experience darker than normal water. This is a normal occurrence during the hydrant flushing process. The schedule is as follows:
September 21st – 25th: Old Town & Rec Complex
September 28th – Oct 2nd: Pioneer Park Addition, Golden Flats, Schools, Airview, Port Neal Road, Sgt Square Dr, Settlers Point
October 5th – 9th: Prairie View I, II, III, and IV, Gaul Dr, Bluffs Blvd and Old MCI area N., Riverbend Housing
October 11th – 16th: South Lewis Blvd., Fox Run, Estates West, Woodford’s and Bridge mobile home, Serenity Point I & II.
October 19th – 23rd: Camelot, Oak Hills, Meadowbrook I, II and III, Water Plant, Baker Drive, Pioneer Valley, SBL East Campus
October 26th – Oct 39th: Kingston, 8th St, Pioneer Rehab, Dogwood, S. Ridge, W Ridge Rd, Warrior Rd, Baker Prairie Bluff, 1st St
November 2nd – 6th: Any other areas that may have been missed.
If excessively rusty water is experienced, or if it persists, please contact the Water Department at 943-9602 or City Hall at 943-4244 and someone will check into it as soon as possible.
