👮‍♀️💙 Happy National Police Woman’s Day! 💙👮‍♀️

Today, we’re proud to celebrate Sergeant Kidd and all of the incredible women who have worn the badge, served our communities, and answered the call to protect others.

From the moments that require courage and strength, to the unexpected calls involving kittens, birds, turtles, and everything in between 😂🐱🦅🐢—Sergeant Kidd shows us that being a police officer is about so much more than a uniform. It’s about compassion, dedication, service, and being there for your community.

Today, and every day, we say THANK YOU to all the women who have served in law enforcement in the past, those serving today, and the women who will proudly wear the badge in the future. 💙

Your courage has paved the way. Your service makes a difference. And your example inspires the next generation. 🇺🇸

Happy National Police Woman’s Day!
💙 Thank you, Sergeant Kidd, for all you do! 💙

🇺🇸 SEPTEMBER 11 — NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

Today, the Seneca Falls Police Department pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

We remember the victims, the families forever changed, and the countless acts of bravery and selflessness that followed.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — Always Remembered. Never Forgotten. 🇺🇸

During busy shifts like the past couple of days, having a warm meal waiting for our officers means more than you know. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our community and the local businesses that take the time to show their appreciation for our officers. 💙👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Thank you, Riptide Coastal BBQ, for thinking of our officers and taking such great care of them tonight! ❤️

** UPDATE** Travel Advisory has been lifted

⚠️ PLEASE USE CAUTION THIS MORNING ⚠️

The No Unnecessary Travel Advisory for Northern Seneca County remains in effect and has not been lifted.

As residents begin waking up, assessing damage, and heading out this morning, we ask everyone to use extreme caution and obey all posted road closure signs and barricades. These closures are in place for your safety and to allow emergency and utility crews to safely do their work.

🚦 If you come to a traffic light that is not functioning, remember it must be treated as a 4-way stop. Come to a complete stop and proceed only when it is safe to do so.

We know crews from numerous agencies are working hard this morning to clear roadways of debris and restore power to those who are still without it. We appreciate their hard work and ask everyone to please be patient as they work to make our community safe again.

Most importantly, be careful and look out for your neighbors. Many people are waking up to cleanup and damage from this powerful storm. If you can safely lend a hand to a neighbor who needs it, now is a great time to do so. ❤️

That was quite the storm that came through!

We hope everyone is safe.

We know portions throughout town were hit especially hard. There are numerous trees, poles, and wires down, along with areas experiencing flooding.

It is HIGHLY advised and asked that you please stay home and OFF the streets. Please use extreme caution if you must travel. Stay away from downed power lines and never attempt to drive through flooded roadways. If you encounter a downed line, assume it is live and keep your distance.

Our officers are out throughout the community, along with members of the fire department, assessing damage and assisting those in need.

Please be patient as our first responders work to prioritize calls and reach everyone as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as our community works through the aftermath of this storm.

A special thank you to our 911 center and dispatchers for answering all of the calls, getting them dispatched swiftly, and working tirelessly behind the scenes to coordinate the response.

Thank you as well to all of our police officers, firefighters, emergency personnel, and everyone working to help our community tonight. We appreciate you!

Stay safe, everyone!
