🚫🔥 New York State Outdoor Burn Ban in Effect 🔥🚫

From March 16 through May 14, outdoor burning is prohibited across New York State.

Spring in New York brings warmer days, but it also brings dry brush and unpredictable winds. Even a small fire can spread quickly this time of year. As your local 911 center, we send resources to these calls — and we truly appreciate everyone who helps prevent them before they start.

🚜 The only outdoor burning permitted during this time is agricultural controlled burns. All other residential burning is prohibited. 🌾

By following the burn ban, you’re helping protect your neighbors, our firefighters, and our community’s homes and natural spaces. Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe.

📢 The Town of Tyre is seeking a new member for the Board of Assessment Review!

We are looking for a resident who is fair-minded, objective, and willing to serve. Training is provided, and the primary commitment is around Grievance Day each year (fourth Tuesday in May from 5-9pm). You will also receive a $75 stipend after Grievance Day each year.
