City of Seminole Fire Department

City of Seminole Fire Department The Seminole Fire Department was founded in 1936 under the direction of Chief John E Longbotham. At the time only a few apparatus were housed there. Dagley.

Our current station was built and dedicated in 1999, with future plans of expansion and growth at the time. We now have a fleet of 15 pieces of apparatus to handle any type of incident that may occur. In 2020 the City of Seminole hired our first full-time employee, Chief D.A. Chief Dagley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience needed to continue to grow this department into one of the finest

fire departments in the great State of Texas. Looking toward the future, the Seminole Fire Department plans to start hiring additional staff to support the volunteers.

🚒🔥 Blast from the Past 🔥🚒

Today we’re taking a trip down memory lane with some vintage photos from the Seminole Fire Department archives. These old apparatus may not have had all the modern technology we rely on today, but they carried generations of firefighters who proudly served and protected our community.

From classic paint schemes to the hardworking rigs of years past, these photos are a reminder of how far the fire service has come — and of the dedication that has always remained the same.

Do you recognize any of these trucks or the firefighters who served on them? We’d love to hear your stories and memories in the comments!

Thank you to all the firefighters, past and present, who have answered the call for Seminole through the years. ❤️🚒
