❤️A New Chapter❤️
14 years ago, I had a dream to open a privately owned adult day care center—a place where people could feel loved, cared for, and engaged, while also giving caregivers a much-needed respite. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 13 years since I embarked on this journey. Despite the challenges along the way, I’ve been fortunate to inspire others to start their own centers.
However, I’ve made the difficult decision to close my center and “retire” from the adult day care world. The economy has changed, and I realized I didn’t want to sign another three-year lease. At 48, I’m ready to embrace life without the daily pressures of managing operations and headcounts.
Spending each day with seniors over the years has taught me that life truly goes by fast. They’ve reminded me to enjoy every moment. Now, as I watch my kids head off to college, I’ve reached a new level of appreciation for my own life. It’s time to sit back, relax, and embrace the joys that come with this new chapter
I find peace in knowing we’ve helped so many families throughout the years. Now, it’s time to close this chapter and move forward. I’ll continue my work in guardianship, trust, and caring for seniors.
Our last day of operations at Maria’s will be September 19. I invite other day care programs to visit from September 22-26 to pick up anything they might need; I’m donating everything to support their causes. I’ll keep my families and professionals updated on my new small office in Seminole, where I’ll always be available for hugs or advice.
Thank you all for your incredible support and love over the years. My staff has already received job offers, and they know they’ll always be part of my family—I’ll always have their backs.
Here’s to new beginnings!🙏❤️🙏
