Ethan Watkins was last seen on January 18, 2026, when he fled from law enforcement. Since that time, Mr. Watkins has not reached out to family, contacted anyone, nor been seen since that night. Law enforcement has conducted extensive searches in the last known location and followed any leads that have arisen. In 2025, more work zone crashes happened during daylight hours than at night. However, work zone crashes that happened at night were much more likely to result in fatality or serious injury.

Tennessee's 2025 seat belt usage rate of 91.3% represents a decrease of approximately 0.9% compared to the 2024 result; however, the 2025 survey result is above the national average of 90%.

“Occupant protection is vital,” said THSO Director Buddy Lewis, “Last year to date, there were 78 traffic fatalities statewide involving lack of seat belt use. This year to date, there have been 59 fatalities. Wearing your seat belt reduces the risk of fatal injury by 50%, proving the simplest way to save your life is to buckle up every trip, every time.”
