Perkasie Regional Authority will be closed Friday, April 3rd in observance of Good Friday. We will reopen on Monday, April 6th, with normal business hours.

As we head into the Easter weekend, here are a couple of interesting facts to share:

💧 Did you know? Water usage often increases around holidays like Easter, as families gather for meals and celebrations—meaning more cooking, cleaning, and time spent at home.

🐰 Another fun fact: Early spring rains, common around Easter, play an important role in replenishing local water supplies and supporting healthy sewer system flow.

📬 PRA Notification Update

Perkasie Regional Authority has recently mailed letters to some property owners regarding a “Lead Status Unknown” Service Line classification. This notice is required by federal regulations and simply means that the material of your property’s water service line has not yet been confirmed in our records.

💧 This does NOT mean lead is present or that there is a health concern. It just means we still need to verify the service line material. To help speed up this process, please call the office to schedule an inspection of your service line. This inspection will take not more than a couple of minutes and will require one of the Authority Staff to access the water service line at the entry point of house (where the water meter is located).

🍁 Holiday Office Closure 🍁

The Perkasie Regional Authority office is currently closed for the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen on Monday, December 1st at 8:00 AM.

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days of the year for household plumbing, largely due to fats, oils, and grease being washed down drains. Please help protect both your home and our community system by disposing of cooking oils in the trash—never down the sink—and avoiding putting fibrous food scraps into garbage disposals.

If you experience a water or sewer related emergency, please call the office and leave a message on the emergency voicemail. A staff member will return your call as soon as possible.

💧 Safe Water. Strong Community. 💧
We’re excited to share that as of September 23, 2025, Perkasie Regional Authority has implemented temporary treatment at one of our well sites to remove PFAS (PFOA and PFOS).
✅ Before treatment: PFOA = 3.45 PPT, PFOS = 18 PPT
✅ After treatment: Non-detect for both
This treatment will remain in place until our new permanent filtration building is completed in March 2026. Thanks to a PENNVEST Grant, this project is moving forward without delay—and we’re applying for another grant to expand protections at a second well site.
We’re proud to be at the forefront of investing in water quality and ensuring safe, reliable drinking water for our community. 💙
