Thereโs something special about a summer evening in the park โ lawn chairs, families, friends, and a live performance that brings people together.
This quarter, one of our Community Assist Grants is helping bring Kentucky Shakespeareโs free Shakespeare in the Parks tour to Southern Indiana, with performances in Clarksville and Sellersburg. Through this program, professional actors perform Shakespeare in public parks, making theatre accessible to everyone โ no tickets, no cost, just a shared community experience.
These performances arenโt just about theatre. Theyโre about creating opportunities for people to gather, enjoy public spaces, experience the arts, and spend time together in our community.
The Tempest will be performed on Thursday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Gateway Park in Clarksville and on Wednesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Wilkerson Park in Sellersburg.
Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a free evening of live theatre in the park!
