✅ Drink plenty of water throughout the day
✅ Limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon heat
✅ Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
✅ Never leave children or pets unattended in vehicles

Cell phones, makeup, and food have been identified as repeat offenders when it comes to distracted driving. While they may seem harmless, taking your eyes off the road for just a few seconds can lead to serious consequences.
Whether you're answering a text, touching up your mascara, or grabbing a quick bite, any distraction can take your attention away from what matters most—driving safely. No message, meal, or mirror check is worth risking a crash.
Arrive safely. Every trip. Every time.

National Safety Month reminder: Carbon monoxide isn’t just a winter danger. In the summer months, it can build up from gas grills, generators, RVs, and even vehicles left running in attached garages. CO is invisible and odorless—but it can become deadly fast. Always use fuel-burning equipment outside and make sure your space is properly ventilated. If you suspect carbon monoxide exposure or someone is showing symptoms like dizziness, headache, or nausea, leave the area immediately and call 911.

Leaving a child alone in a vehicle, even for a short time, can quickly become dangerous. Temperatures inside a car can rise rapidly, even on mild days, putting a child at serious risk of heat-related illness or death.
Young children are especially vulnerable because their bodies heat up faster than adults, and they may not be able to get help or escape on their own.
No errand is worth that risk. Always check the back seat before walking away. Also keep vehicles locked when not in use so children cannot get inside unattended. A moment of awareness can save lives.

June is PTSD Awareness Month.
This month, we recognize the silent battles that many first responders carry long after the call is over. The things seen, heard, and experienced in service can leave lasting impacts that aren’t always visible—but they are real.
To every first responder who has carried more than their share: you are not alone, and support is available. Reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness. Help is always available, and healing is possible.
