On Thursday, members of the Indian River High School student Enviro-Act Club conducted a health check-in at the bee hives behind the school building. The Enviro-Act Club gives students the opportunity to protect and improve our local environment through hands-on conservation projects and community partnerships. Members work alongside organizations such as the Center for the Inland Bays, Delaware State Parks and DNREC to make a positive impact throughout Sussex County. Activities include beach cleanups, bay restoration, recycling projects, native plantings and wildlife surveys. Members maintain the IRHS bee hives throughout the school year as part of their club activities.
