At approximately 07:14 hours, Station 88 & Station 79 was alerted for a motor vehicle accident in cypress swamp, Frankford.
- First arriving found 1 vehicle off of the roadway into the woods - 88-16 with command.
- No patients for EMS, units under control.

• As always, stay safe and be careful on these wet roads.

🚨 Automatic Crash Notification turns into Rollover with Entrapment 🚨

At approximately 13:56hrs, Station 88 was alerted for an automatic crash notification in the area of the east side of the entrance to The Cypress Swamp on the Selbyville side.

While units were responding, EOC advised that the incident had been upgraded to a reported rollover with entrapment. Additional resources were immediately dispatched, including Station 76 Frankford, Station 73 Dagsboro BLS unit, SCEMS Medics, and the Delaware State Police helicopter.

Responding crews arrived and began assessing the scene, confirming 1 patient trapped. EMS crews evaluated the involved parties while fire personnel worked to stabilize the vehicle and assist with the extrication operation.

The Delaware State Police helicopter was requested to assist but was not utilized.

Ambulance C-88 transported to PRMC in Salisbury.

Delaware State Fire Police from both Selbyville, Gumboro & Frankford closed off the scene on both ends of the swamp to allow crews to work safely.

Last night, Station 88 had the opportunity and privilege of helping the Ocean City Fire Department with their annual 9/11 Fallen Firefighters Memorial along with Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.
Tower 88 was set up for the flag display and members of each organization ensured the event was a success.

At approximately 21:23 hours, Station 88 was alerted for a motor vehicle accident on DuPont Blvd 113 South, Selbyville.
- Reports of a single vehicle crash into trees on fire - Medics & Trooper 2 alerted.
- 21:28 - 88-15 on scene, vehicle fully involved.
- Engine 88-4’s crew pulled a bumper line and quickly started fire attack while Tanker 88 supplied the engine.
- As EMS units arrived, fire crews gained control of the engulfed vehicle and ensured all hot spots were extinguished.
- Ambulance B-88 transported by ground with one patient to a local area hospital.
- 22:26 - All units available.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Members of our fire company and many others around the country will be remembering the heroes and lives lost on that day. The firefighters, police officers, EMTs, medics, first responders, civilians, and many others were called to action that day, ultimately leaving behind a legacy for us to look back on.

At approximately 02:26 hours, Bethany Beach Station 70 was alerted for an automated fire alarm on Surfside Drive & Gulls Nest, Bethany. Upon investigation, crews found heavy smoke on the 4th floor of the residence.
- 02:51 - Upgraded to full box.
- Units from 70, 90, 84, 73, 76, 88, and Ocean City responded to the scene.
- 03:11 - Bulk of fire knocked, units checking for extensions.
- Tower 88 was set up and operated on the Delta side of the residence with their crew.
- Multiple stations alerted for standbys.
- 05:17 - All units in service.

This afternoon, two of our firefighters represented Station 88 at the DelTech 9/11 Memorial Run where they completed a 5K around the campus. All proceeds from the event went toward scholarships for veterans and first responders. Great work guys!
