📚🐝 Seguin Reads Together! Help us build strong readers by encouraging your child to read 20–30 minutes every night and keep up with their monthly reading log and activities. Students who complete the requirements for 6 of 8 months will earn an invitation to our special end-of-year celebration! Every night of reading helps our Matadors grow stronger, more confident, and ready to succeed! 🖤💛. Please see the attached graphic for more information!

Way to go, 2nd Grade for having the highest attendance today at 97.3%! 🎉👏 You met our campus goal of 97% or higher! 💛🖤

Our campus attendance dropped to 95.1% today, so we need ALL of our Matadors to help us get that number buzzing back up! 🐝📈

🧚‍♀️📖 Once Upon a Time in Second Grade… 📖🧚‍♂️

Our Koennecke Second Graders wrapped up their Fairy Tales & Tall Tales unit in a BIG way! 🏰🤠✨ Students brought their learning to life by dressing up as characters inspired by the stories they’ve been reading and learning about.

From magical fairy tales 🪄👑 to larger-than-life tall tales 🤠🌵, our Second Grade Matadors had so much fun celebrating all they’ve learned!

What a fun way to end the unit and make learning memorable! 💛🖤

🌿📚 Mrs. Kauitzsch’s 5th grade RLA students experienced a sensory field trip that brought learning to life! Students explored nature through their five senses, building their understanding of author’s craft while using high level vocabulary and adjective noun combinations to create vivid sensory descriptions. They learned how authors use precise language to paint vivid pictures and how to apply these techniques to their own writing.

A special thank you to Mr. Terry for providing our campus with this incredible outdoor classroom from an SEF awarded grant, where learning can truly come alive!

Our attendance goal is 97% every day, and we are SO close! Today, our campus attendance was 96.5%. 💛🖤

👏 A big shoutout to Kindergarten for leading the way with an incredible 98.6% attendance! 🏆🐝
