The City of Seguin Utilities Department is launching an Electric Meter Replacement Project this month as part of an important upgrade to our electric metering system.

Our contractor, Second Sight Systems, will be replacing more than 5,000 TWACS electric meters throughout the utility’s service area. This upgrade will improve the reliability and efficiency of our electric system.

Customers with a TWACS meter will receive a door hanger (See picture below). If you have any questions or experience any issues, please contact the phone number listed on the door hanger for assistance.

The project is expected to take approximately two months to complete. During the meter replacement, customers may experience a brief, momentary power interruption (1-2 minutes).
Thanks for your patience as we complete this important system improvement.

👏 Please join us in congratulating Keffer Moore and Tristan Morstad with the City of Seguin Electric Department!

During this week's City Council meeting, Mayor Donna Dodgen presented them with a certificate of recognition for their exceptional courage, teamwork, and quick thinking during an emergency on June 11, 2025.

While responding to a routine service call, Keffer and Tristan noticed a resident in distress and immediately jumped into action—calling 911, providing care, and relaying critical information. Thanks to their swift response, emergency services arrived in time to help save a life.

Their actions went above and beyond the call of duty and serve as a powerful reminder of the impact of compassion and preparedness. 💛
