Healthy trees are more resilient, so proper care and early attention can make a difference.

Proper pruning = stronger trees.
Remove weak, dead, or overextended branches to reduce wind resistance. Some trees have structural issues that need addressing to prevent weakness. But don’t overdo it—topping and lion's tailing cause more harm than good!

Recent hurricanes and drought conditions may be affecting them, sometimes long after the stress occurs. What seems sudden often has been developing over time.

Hurricane season is coming—are your trees ready?
Start by inspecting your trees for dead branches, cracks, or signs of disease which may include bark shedding, fungal growths or sudden branch die-back. Weak limbs are the first to go in high winds!
