Texline Volunteer Fire Department invites the community to our annual Brisket Supper Fundraiser supporting training and operations.

• Dine in or take-out boxes available if you can’t stay
• Credit & debit cards accepted
• Delicious brisket and sides, served by our volunteers

🥩 Brisket by the pound:
We will be selling any leftover brisket later in the day, once we can determine availability.
If you’re interested, please let the folks at the door know when you buy your ticket to get your name on the list.

On 6-12-2026 Sedan Fire Department was dispatched at 1926 to a structure fire south of Stead. 8 units and 17 personnel responded to find an outbuilding with a small fire in the corner that had been started by an AC. Fire personnel worked to extinguished all remaining fire and hot spots before clearing the scene at 2025 and returning to station.

We would like to thank everyone for all the support during the last few days. All those that have went out of your way to donate and drop off snacks and drinks by the fire station. The food and drinks that were brought out while we were out on the fire line did not go unnoticed.

On Thursday (5-14-26) fire crews responded mutual aid to two separate incidents one in Nara Visa NM and one near Boise City OK. Crews didn’t return home till early Friday morning.

On Friday morning (5-15-26) crews responded to Hartley County to assist with a fire there, returning home mid afternoon. Friday evening Sedan Fire Department along with multiple other agencies were dispatched for mutual aid to assist Texline Fire with a grass fire near High Lonesome Rd. Fire personnel spent a good part of the night fighting the fire and were able to return home early Saturday morning.

On Sunday (5-17-26) fire crews responded for mutual aid on two separate incidents. Thankfully on the first incident the initial responding personnel arrived on scene and determined response wasn’t need from Sedan Fire. Shortly after returning back to quarters a tender was requested to respond to the Black Mesa fire north of Kenton OK on the NM/OK/CO state line. Fire personnel assisted in tender operations on Sunday afternoon/evening and all day on Monday 5-18-26.

Once again thanks for all the support from the community it doesn’t go unnoticed.

On 5/18 9:42 Sedan Fire was dispatched to a reported fire west of Sedan near Bluefront rd. Three units responded to the fire with more on standby. The fire was quickly contained. Fortunately this took place early in the day before the wind hit.

On 5-13-26 at 1851 Sedan Fire Department was dispatched to assist Clayton EMS with a patient who had been injured after being bucked off a horse. Sedan Fire personnel responded and assisted EMS with care and transport to UCGH.

On 4-24-2026 at 1433 Sedan Fire Department was dispatched to assist Clayton EMS with a medical emergency. Personnel responded and assisted EMS with patient care and transport to UCGH.

On 4-5-26 at 1328 Sedan Fire Department was dispatched for mutual aid with Rabbit Ear Fire Department to a grass fire south of Clayton on Hwy 402. Personnel responded and were cancelled enroute after Rabbit Ear Fire got on scene and determined no response was needed from Sedan Fire.
