This week Coalition staff participated in Advocacy Days hosted by NNEDV in Washington DC. Staff joined our AZ sister tribal coalition SWIWC in making visits to congressional leaders of AZ and others who support Tribes. Along with our partners at state coalitions we hope to continue to make impacts on the hill. We even ran into old friends along the way. It was a great experience for all and we look forward to connecting with our congressional representatives year-round.

The Executive Director and Director of Training & Technical Assistance of the Coalition are attending Advocacy Days in Washington D.C. this week. Day one was enlightening, providing our team with valuable insights and tips on meeting with congressional leaders. Over the next two days, our staff will join SWIWC, our sister tribal coalition, in meetings with Arizona's Congressional leaders to educate them on the importance of preserving funding, victim services, and public safety.
