The Sept. 15 Sebastopol City Council meeting agenda includes discussion of several community projects and City operations.
Consent Calendar: a Sonoma County outreach partnership to connect people experiencing homelessness with services; a Corporation Yard fuel station upgrade; a $6,500 Zero Waste Grant for food-waste education; the 2026 Sewer System Management Plan; and upcoming openings on City boards, commissions and committees.
Regular Calendar:
• Event fee waivers for Peacetown and Many Moons festivals.
• A multi-year citywide paving plan
• Up to $89,100 for Library reconstruction work
• 2026–27 commission and committee work plans and meeting schedules

TOMORROW (9/10) : In advance of the Sept. 15 City Council meeting, where the Commons project is on the agenda, there's another opportunity to learn more about the plan under discussion to create a a centralized hub that blends civic, economic, cultural, and social resources potentially including the Sebastopol City Hall, Library, Senior Center, and Library.

The Building the Commons Committee has been working on this vision since September 2025. Come learn more about the project, the sites that were evaluated, and tour one of the recommended sites.

NIGHT CONSTRUCTION ON RTE 116 STARTING 9/13
Sunday, September 13, 2026 Caltrans will begin a digout and repairs project along Route 116 through Sebastopol. Work will begin at the south end of town near city limits at Cooper Road and continue through Sebastopol to Guerneville Road. Work within City limits is scheduled to conclude on September 30, 2026. Work will occur 8:00 pm to 6:00 am to reduce the impact to traffic.

The Sept. 1 Sebastopol City Council meeting agenda includes updates on Gravenstein Commons (St. Vincent de Paul development) and discussion of a proposed Good Neighbor Policy for the project.
Council will also consider homeless outreach service agreements, financing options for water infrastructure projects, and legal options in response to graffiti and racial mockery concerns near Safeway, with a focus on restorative justice.
The Consent Calendar includes completion of the Bodega Phase 2 Bike Lane and paving projects, pedestrian crossing improvements on Highway 116, newsrack regulations and other routine items.
