CNCS Alaska State Office The Alaska State Office of the Corp. for National & Community Service engages individuals in service through AmeriCorps VISTA and Senior Corps programs.

The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) was established to connect Americans of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to give back to their communities and their nation. It merged the work and staffs of two predecessor agencies, ACTION and the Commission on National and Community Service. CNCS serves more than 5 million individuals of all ages and backgrounds help meet loca

l needs through a wide array of service opportunities. These include projects in six priority areas: disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families through CNCS’s core programs: AmeriCorps (including VISTA and NCCC), Senior Corps (including RSVP, Foster Grandparents, and Senior Companions), and the Social Innovation Fund. CNCS is part of our nation's history of commitment to building a culture of citizenship, service, and responsibility.
