Have a vision for an arts or culture event at a Seattle park? We're partnering with Seattle Parks and Recreation to fund your 2027 park activation. Grants of up to $8,000 are available for free, public programming in eligible City-managed parks May–Oct. 2027. Learn more and apply on our website or blog—applications close Oct. 27.

The Office of Arts & Culture (OAC) and Seattle Parks & Recreation (SPR) invite individual artists, creative workers, community groups, and organizations to propose projects centering arts and culture activations in City of Seattle-managed parks between May and October 2027.

Artists at the Center is a multi-year collaboration between OAC and Seattle Center, with support from Uptown Arts & Culture Coalition and the communities adjacent to Seattle Center campus. The project is made possible by a 10-year grant from Climate Pledge Arena and Seattle Kraken.

This First Thursday Artwalk step into a portal of protection and ask the buwaya (crocodiles) to guide you and your descendants in Heidi Grace Acuna's "Buwaya Baby." Acuna makes art that finds the beauty in the multiplicities of identity, culture, gender, and home. Her work is rooted in connecting back to the ancestral homeland and cultural beliefs of the Philippines through endemic creatures and reclaiming her lineage through time, migration, and spirituality.

We'll be celebrating the new exhibit with an opening reception on Sept. 3 from 5-8 PM. Plus, don't miss the last of our summer plaza programming with music by Joe Brazil Legacy Band and free zines with Common Area Maintenance!
