John Hay Elementary PTSA

John Hay Elementary PTSA is a dedicated community of parents, teachers, and staff working together to support our students and school.

We organize events, fundraise for essential programs, and advocate for every child’s success. There are many ways you can volunteer in the John Hay community. From leading a committee, lunch room help, classroom assistance, outside of school events and needs, sharing your voice at our monthly meetings, to fundraising, and many more. We have a wide variety of opportunities that you can assist with making our community an even better place for our children to learn.

Join us on Friday, June 5, for an evening packed with games, food, prizes, community fun, and one of our most anticipated attractions...

💦🎯 THE TEACHER BUCKET SPLASH! 🎯💦

Think you've got great aim? Step up and take your shot as some of your favorite John Hay staff members take their turn in the splash zone. Bring your best throw and help send them into a bucket of water!

Whether you're hoping to soak a teacher, enjoy the carnival games, grab some delicious food, or spend time with friends and family, there's something for everyone.

And keep an eye out... one mystery staff member is still waiting to be revealed! 👀

🎟️ Wristbands are $30 at the carnival.
🙋 Volunteers are still needed to help make this event a success.

🎉 That’s a wrap on Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week! 🎉
We’re ending the week by making sure our amazing teachers and staff are stocked up with all their favorite snacks and treats to keep them fueled through the rest of the school year. 🍿🍫☕🍎
Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, organized, and helped us celebrate the incredible people who make our school such a special place every day. Your generosity and support mean so much!

We kicked off the week the best way we know how… with BREAKFAST! 🥯 ☕️ 🍩 This morning our amazing teachers and staff were treated to a spread of bagels, pastries, coffee and more as a small token of our HUGE appreciation. Thank you for everything you do to support, inspire, and care for our kids.

🌟 Help Shape the Future of John Hay! 🌟

PTSA Board Elections for the 2026–2027 school year are coming up, and we’re looking for passionate parents and caregivers to get involved!

Whether you’re new to the PTSA or a familiar face, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact on our school community. From supporting events to strengthening family engagement, every role helps make John Hay such a special place. 💙

👉 Open positions include:
• Secretary
• Volunteer Chair
• SPED Chair
• Parents Night Out Chair
• Staff Appreciation Chair
• Every Child Wins Chair
• Event Chairs like Jaguar Jog, Monster Mash, Cultural Heritage Night, Carnival, Game Night & Rock Paper Scissors

(All other officer roles already have candidates identified.)

🌟 John Hay Parents Night Out! 🌟

Mark your calendars for a fun night for both kids and grown-ups!

📅 May 1st
⏰ 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

🚀 For the kids:
Enjoy an exciting STEM Night with Code Ninjas—packed with hands-on activities and fun learning!
💻 Cost: $50 or FREE with a $49 STEM month package

🌮 For the parents:
Head over to B&Z Mexican Restaurant for a relaxed evening of drinks, tacos, and chips with fellow John Hay families.

It’s the perfect chance for kids to learn and play while parents unwind and connect.
