🌈📚✊🏾 Juneteenth Story Swap ✊🏾📚🌈

This June, we’re celebrating both Juneteenth and Pride Month the Estelita’s way—through stories, community, and collective learning.

Join us for our annual Juneteenth Story Swap & Community Book Exchange where we’ll gather to share books, exchange stories, and celebrate the power of Black liberation, LGBTQIA+ pride, and community connection.

Bring a book. Take a book. Meet neighbors. Build community.

📚 We are also looking for volunteers throughout June to help us:
• Sort and organize books
• Prepare summer reading collections
• Organize donations
• Get the library ready for summer programming
• Support the Story Swap event

We’re bringing it to the SoufEnd — every 1st and 3rd Saturday, Estelita’s Library is hosting the SoufEnd Saturday Math Academy with the one and only Baba Akin Alston who is always bringing Math For The People — and it is FREE, it is for us, and it is exactly what our community deserves.

If you or you know someone who is 16-24 years old, and interested in interning at a Seattle City Department, nonprofit, or local business — here’s your chance.

How much do they pay? $21.30/hr
How long is the internship? 6-8 weeks
When is application Due? May 5 @ 5pm PST

This is an amazing opportunity. So many opportunities have come from interning as a student or youth. And they pay good!
