Urge politicians to reject a deep-bore tunnel that would replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct. It remains a terrible, risky and underfunded idea that would:

• Make traffic worse with up to $7-9 tolls per round trip, forcing tens of thousands of cars onto city streets;
• Raise taxes to cover the $700 million shortfall in its budget;
• Leave taxpayers liable for cost overruns;
• Divert scarce funds from

more reasonable, much needed uses;
• Include no transit. Like and support Sierra Club Washington State Chapter, Move Seattle Smarter, Seattle Citizens Against the Tunnel, Real Change Homeless Empowerment Project, the People’s Waterfront Coalition, Friends of Seattle, and Cyclistas
