I've heard from the son of former Ft Ord Fire Dept Captain Richard Davis that his dad died in September. I'm waiting for him to get back to me with more information. I'm very sorry to hear this. RIP Richard....

I sent along some pictures of retired Deputy Fire Chief Ruben Abeyta on some of our 4x4 trips into the Mojave Desert from the early 90's. I sent them to Ruben and he called me yesterday afternoon....it was great talking to him and he said he really got a kick out of seeing those...and I have some more he'll like !

I have some sad news today, just heard from retired Captain Dave Bruegl that former Ft Ord Firefighter Bill Miller died yesterday.

Harald Kelley, former Fort Ord Fire Dept Fire Captain and retired City of Marina Fire Chief called earlier in the week to say he was coming to visit and would be here in the later part of April. We're really looking forward to seeing him and showing him around.
