We hope you’re having a restful break and a wonderful New Year. Our mandatory Spring Training is coming up soon at the Marina Library on January 18th! Please RSVP if you haven’t done so already.

Fun fact: On Tuesdays, her volunteer group, the DONs, helps out with activities and their favorite part of the day is snack time! One of the volunteers, always brings the best pastries ever. 🥐😄

Visiting Discovery Farming in Watsonville and meeting the wonderful staff was truly a pleasure. I was especially impressed by the great work they do with the vegetable garden, the animals, and the farm as a whole. It was also inspiring to see College Corps Fellow Mackenzie in action, demonstrating exceptional skill in caring for, feeding, and connecting with the entire farm 🌳🌸

✨💜 I joined College Corps because I wanted an opportunity to serve my community while also gaining hands-on experience that connects to my future career goals in health and wellness. As a student-parent, I understand the importance of support systems, and College Corps enables me to give back while developing my own leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Hi everyone! My name is Jacqueline Isabel Perez, and I’m so excited to be here. I’m currently in my third year at CSUMB🦦, but this is my very first year as a proud College Corps Fellow!
I’m majoring in Liberal Studies with a minor in Human Development and Family Science (HDFS). This year, I’m serving at the Greenfield Science 🧬 Workshop and also helping out on the College Corps social media team📱-which has been such a fun and rewarding experience.
I raised here in the Monterey area🌴, and giving back to the community that shaped me is something I’m really passionate about. I can’t wait to continue making a difference, connect with fellow students, and meet even more amazing people in the community!☀️
