The Borough of Seaside Park extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Charlie Miller, who passed away on May 28, 2026. As a veteran himself, Charlie generously lent his time and talent as a singer and keyboardist to the Seaside Park Memorial Day Service for many years. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.

May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The Seaside Park Police Department recognizes Ptl. Stilton who is a first generation Filipino American.

Ptl. Stilton was originally hired as a SLEO 1 in 2017 and then attended the Ocean County Police Academy in 2018 as a SLEO II. In 2021 she was hired as the departments first full time female officer. She currently serves as the Class One Coordinator, Special Needs and Bias Liaison, and the CPR and Defensive Tactics Instructor. She also is an instructor at the Ocean County Police Academy for Arrest, Search and Seizure and Community Policing. 🇵🇭🇺🇸

Today the Borough of Seaside Park honored the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for this great nation. On this Memorial Day, we remember the fallen and thank them and their families for their service. Our guest speaker was Captain James Howell, Commander of Naval Support Activity Lakehurst and Deputy Commander of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. In attendance were Mayor Peterson and Borough Council along with Ocean County Commissioner Sam Ellenbogen and Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy 🇺🇸
